My path to wildlife biology and conservation

I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. The beauty and the bounty of organisms in my own back yard inspired an ongoing curiosity for creatures and the natural world. Today, I harness that curiosity to study animal ecology and strategies for conservation. I received my BS from Davidson College in environmental studies and MS in wildlife ecology and management at the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources.

My dissertation at the University of Florida focused on predators and their impacts on prey behavior and ecosystem function. Beginning in the Fall of 2024 I will join the Department of Biology at Mercer University as an assistant professor.

Clint is the Assistant Unit Leader for the Georgia Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. He specializes in population modeling, statistical modeling, decision analysis, and adaptive resource management.

Kurt's research interests include life history and evolutionary ecology with application for the conservation and management of amphibians and reptiles.
